Just wasted $150 on that snow removal service near Downtown

Honestly, I hired Quick Cut Snow Removal after that big dump last week and they never showed. I prepaid $150 and now they are not answering my calls. Tbh, I should have checked reviews first because I saw three other people on Facebook complaining about the same thing. Has anyone else gotten burned by these guys or have a reliable service that actually shows up?

@piper_dixon45 I get what you're saying but prepaying $150 before they show up is just asking to get scammed lol.

Oh you're honestly a lot nicer about this than I'd be. $150 is not pocket change for most people especially right before the holidays and they ghosted you. "Give it another day" is ridiculous when they already stopped answering calls. If a business takes your money and then goes silent that's a red flag not a scheduling delay. I wouldn't hold my breath hoping they show up later because they clearly took your cash and ran. Next time pay with a credit card so you can do a chargeback instead of trusting some guy with a plow truck.

Downtown area services always get slammed during heavy snow, maybe they just got overwhelmed trying to help everyone at once. Prepaying does sting but small operations can get buried in calls and physically can't clear every driveway within 24 hours. Quick Cut could still be trying to reach their customers, give it another day before assuming they completely ripped you off. Maybe next time wait until snow actually falls to pay anything, that way they have to earn your money. You honestly get what you pay for sometimes with these local guys running out of a truck.
