Noticed my elm tree finally bounced back after 3 years of Dutch elm disease treatment
I had a big elm in my front yard that looked totally dead by 2021, but I kept up with the injections every spring. This summer it actually has a full canopy again, not just little tufts. Has anyone else seen treatments actually work on older trees around Edmonton?

Did you have to prune it heavily first or did the injections do all the work on their own?

Followed what the nursery told us and did a pretty hard prune first, probably took off a third of the canopy. The injections helped the tree push out new growth where we wanted it, but without that initial cutback I think it would have just looked messy. What kind of timeline did you see with yours, @the_fiona?
