Took me three hours to return a broken snowblower at Canadian Tire South Common

I bought a snowblower from Canadian Tire South Common last month. First use, the auger belt snapped after about 20 minutes. I figured I'd just swap it out quick. Nope. They wanted me to call their service line first, then wait for a case number, then bring it back with the original box. I spent three hours on the phone and in line. Has anyone else had a return there turn into a whole afternoon project?

Ugh that's brutal, three hours is way too long for a return especially on something that broke right away. I've had similar runarounds at Canadian Tire before and it honestly makes me dread going back there. Hope you got your money back in the end at least.

My brother once tried to return a snowblower at Canadian Tire that conked out after ten minutes. They made him wait so long he just left it in the middle of the aisle and walked out. The next week he went back to buy a different one and they still had it sitting in the returns pile. He ended up just buying the same model again and it worked fine, so who knows. I swear that store runs on chaos and hope.
