My journeyman in Phoenix told me to always torque the main lugs on a new panel to spec, even if they feel tight. I didn't on a quick service upgrade last month, and the connection failed after two weeks.

Honestly, that's a tough lesson to learn the hard way. What was the spec for those lugs on that panel, and did you have your torque wrench on the truck that day? Tbh I've seen guys skip it thinking a good crank with the impact is enough, but it never is. That thermal cycling from the Arizona heat will find a loose connection every single time. Ngl, your journeyman gave you the exact right advice for a reason.

Come on, a good impact gun gets them plenty tight. That failure was just bad luck.
