Man, that is wild! So you're telling me they had parts sitting out in the open with no price tags and the guy just made up numbers on the spot? That's a whole new level of shady. I've seen some rough shops but that sounds like a straight up scam operation. What kind of parts were they selling?

And every place hides the bad reviews somewhere you'd never think to look.

Honestly, I've seen that happen with a few different places. One auto shop near me had a whole separate Yelp page that only showed up if you searched the exact street address, not the business name. The bad reviews were all there, but nobody would ever find it unless they knew exactly where to look. It's like they intentionally buried the rating system to make themselves look better than they are.
