I switched my invoicing to Tuesday mornings and my payment speed tripled

I was constantly getting paid 30+ days late as a solo dog groomer, so I tried sending invoices on Tuesday instead of Friday. The difference was huge, most clients paid within a week instead of a month. Has anyone else found a weird timing trick that fixed a cash flow problem?

Thursday afternoon works best for me. People pay faster before the weekend.

Nah, Thursday afternoon? Really? You sure people aren't already checked out by then, mentally planning their weekend? Late Friday morning always worked better for me because they're stressed about wrapping up work and just want to clear their plate. That pressure makes them pay faster in my experience. What kind of clients are you dealing with that are still motivated on a Thursday?
