My payment system crashed right before a big launch last Friday. Had to switch everything over in 6 hours.

Ugh, my buddy had that happen last year. The whole payment system just died right before a big sale. He looked like he hadn't slept for a week.

Oh man, that sounds like a total nightmare. @singh.uma is right, that panic is a specific kind of awful. Having to rebuild the whole checkout flow under that kind of time pressure is just brutal. Hope you got some sleep this weekend.
