A client in Phoenix taught me a simple trick for calming sensitive skin during extractions
She came in with really red, reactive skin and said, 'My last esthetician just went straight in, but if you cool the area first with a chilled jade roller, it doesn't flare up as much.' I tried it on her, keeping the roller in the fridge for 20 minutes before her appointment, and the difference was huge. What other little tricks do you all use for clients with super sensitive skin?

Cold compresses are good, but the real game changer is using a barrier cream around the nostrils and eyes before extractions. It stops the skin from getting raw and angry from all the pressure. Something simple like a thin layer of plain zinc oxide cream works.

That zinc oxide tip is brilliant because it acts like a little shield! Makes total sense to protect the thinnest skin before putting pressure on it. Honestly, a lot of the redness after a facial is just from the physical rubbing, not the products. This could help so many people with sensitive skin avoid that post-facial irritation. More estheticians should really suggest this simple step to their clients.

Ever try that zinc trick @phoenix_lopez? My friend did and said her skin wasn't red at all after her facial. Why didn't we know this years ago?
