Watch out for that new gravel mix on Price Road

I was out near the Larson farm on Price Road yesterday and that fresh gravel they laid down has these sharp little chunks that are chewing up my horseshoes something awful. Has anyone else had issues with that kind of aggregate messing with your shoe fit?

Oh GREAT, so now my horses get to be test subjects for the local rock quarry's "special blend" of jagged nonsense. @thomas105 nailed it - that Miller Lane stuff was a nightmare too. My mare threw a shoe last week just walking through it, and now I'm out $40 for a reset and she's limping like I asked her to tap dance on a cheese grater. Honestly, I think they're just dumping whatever's leftover from the crusher and calling it "gravel" instead of "foot-ruining chaos pebbles." Can't wait for the next rain to turn it into a skating rink too, that'll be REAL fun.

Man that's rough. Really feel for you because bad gravel can mess up a whole ride. Had similar trouble last year with some fresh stone they dumped near the creek crossing on Miller Lane. Those jagged pieces just wedge right into the hoof and make the shoe sit all wrong. It's like walking on broken glass for them. Hope they get it rolled out smooth soon before someone's horse gets sore.
