That Tuesday last month when the whole forum went after a bot farm

Honestly, it was wild. Someone posted a link to a new 'art' account on a big site, and the comments were just off. We all started digging and found over 200 profiles using the same weird, stiff phrases. We spent the whole day reporting them and sharing the signs in a pinned thread. By Friday, the account was gone and the platform sent a thanks for the help. Ngl, it felt like we actually did something for once. Has anyone else had a win like that recently, where you saw a whole wave of slop get taken down?

That whole bot farm takedown story is awesome. It reminds me of seeing the same weird, fake review language pop up on totally different product pages. Feels like the same cheap scripts get reused everywhere until a group spots the pattern. Makes you wonder how much of the internet is just on autopilot now. Good on you guys for actually cleaning some of it up.

Right? I started flagging those reviews with the same weird phrases. After a while the platform's system caught on and wiped a bunch of them out. Just takes a few people noticing the copy-paste jobs.

Started noticing the same thing on home improvement sites too. Every other "five star" review for pest control sprays would say the exact same thing about "swift knockdown" and "peace of mind." Flagged about a dozen of them before the site finally took them down. Its wild how long it takes platforms to notice the patterns we can spot in seconds. Makes you wonder how many products are sitting at 4.5 stars just from bot armies.
