Adults are horrible at dealing with mental health.

Adults look down on expressing your bad mental health too much. Since they grew up in the 80's and mental health was normalized to lock away and suppress it, children now aren't getting the help they need.
A teenager can cut themselves, starve, stay in their room all day and have shit grades and all their parent/guardian will do is give them a slap on the wrist and tell them to 'stop.' As if doing that would help ANYONE with ANY addiction.
School's will do things to try and help kids mental health, give talks about it during health class and give school therapists. But if you actually open up to them, all they'll do is tell your parents. What kind of help is that?
People need to start motivating ADULTS and teach THEM about mental health and how to deal with it. For themselves or for their children. I think we should bring back PSA's and disturb the people who are comfortable.
And these same adults will wonder what went wrong when their child is hanging from a rope in their bedroom one day.

Read that article @dakota_gibson mentioned and it's depressingly on point.
