My morning runs made me rethink founder hustle culture
I used to skip exercise to get more work done, thinking every minute counted for the startup. Then I forced myself to jog each morning, and my head became WAY clearer for tough decisions. Seeing how a simple break boosts my focus changed my whole plan for the team's schedule. Now I push for more outside time, not less, and it's helping everyone.

Isn't it more about the exercise itself than just taking a break? A real break could just be scrolling on your phone, which doesn't clear your head the same way. Moving your body actually changes your brain chemistry. That's why the jog works and a normal pause might not. Calling it just a simple break might sell short what's really happening.

Honestly, a short walk does the same for me.

Wait, so are you saying any physical movement does the trick, or does it have to get your heart rate up? Like, would slowly unpacking a box give you that same brain change as a jog, or is it just about not being still? I've loaded a truck all day and felt tired but still stressed, so maybe the type of moving matters.
