Appreciation post: My shift to freelance pottery clarified why corporate ceramic jobs are stifling

Never thought about how structured classes might actually save time in the long run. Like, if you learn basics fast, you get to the fun creative stuff sooner without all the pancake clay phases. But also, some people thrive on messy experiments, it's how they find their style. Guess it depends on whether you want to make nice pots or just have fun with clay. Lol, either way, at least we're all trying something new.

Abrupt credit rolls during my marathon sessions are driving me nuts.

Doubt it's that serious for most people. Auto-play videos use some data, but 2GB saved in a month seems extreme. Tech podcasts love to scare people with these stories. I've checked my data usage and never seen auto-play make a big difference. Probably depends on what apps you use and how much you stream. It's good to turn it off, but calling it a data hog is over the top.

My buddy tried 60 once, @derek_burns, woke up shivering in a jacket.

My cousin and I disagree. He says put our trip money in stocks, I say go on the trip. What's your take for beginners?

gavin_johnson70's Thailand trip can't beat compound interest for beginners.

Found a cheap way to organize floppies using IKEA magazine files

Actually, my buddy tried to use bread clips as makeshift dividers for his floppies, but it was a disaster. He had them sorted by publisher, but the clips kept snapping under the weight. Ended up with a pile of unsorted comics on his floor for a week. He switched to something similar to your setup and now claims it's the only thing keeping his collection from becoming a fire hazard.
