Just had a broker completely drop the ball on a time-sensitive shipment

Anyone have a go-to freight forwarder they absolutely trust for last-minute stuff? This is the second time this year I've been left scrambling because of communication breakdowns. Really makes you appreciate the reliable partners.

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. Was it a specific type of shipment, like perishables or something requiring special handling? I've found some forwarders are great for standard stuff but totally fall apart under pressure with niche requirements.

My attempt to ship a vintage lamp last year was a classic case of overconfidence meeting reality! I thought bubble wrap and prayers would suffice for the fragile glass shade, but it arrived in more pieces than I sent. Turns out, some forwarders really do buckle under pressure with special items, and I learned that the hard way. Now I double-check every niche requirement, even if it means admitting I have no clue what I'm doing!

Honestly feels like people just expect DISASTERS from every minor shipping hiccup these days.

Totally feel that, especially with fragile ceramics or oddly shaped items that just don't fit the standard box. I see what @parker_hayes means about people expecting disasters, but some items genuinely need that extra care, and when a forwarder shrugs it off, you're just left with a box of regret. My last disaster was a hand-painted bowl that they treated like a textbook, and the sound of broken pottery opening that box is permanently etched in my memory.

Wait, they really handled a fragile bowl like a textbook?
