Watching sleuths dox potential killers online makes me question if it's ever justified
It seems helpful to expose criminals, but it can lead to witch hunts against innocent people, so where do you stand?

Honestly though, sometimes public pressure is the only thing that makes police take real action on a case.

Was all for it... but the risks are too high.

Ever made a list of all the risks and ranked them by how likely they are to happen? I did that once when I was in a similar spot, and it helped me see which ones were actually scary and which were just noise (you know, the ones you build up in your head). Sometimes, you can find ways to lower the big risks, like talking to people who've done it before or starting with a small test first. If the risks still seem too high after that, it might be worth waiting, but at least you'll know for sure instead of just feeling stuck. It's all about getting clear on what you're really dealing with, so you don't let fear make the decision for you.
