inA customer in the shop yesterday said 'I just tighten it until it feels right' about his headset. What's your go-to method for setting preload?
Honestly, that "feels right" method is a fast track to wrecking your bearings. Tbh, even @henrygrant's hands can't match a torque wrench for getting the same perfect load every single time. You skip the proper tools and you're just guessing, which costs more in repairs later.

inUpdate: My town's community garden went from a few plots to a full food forest in 3 years
That's so cool it went from a few raised beds to a full food forest. My own gardening "project" is a single basil plant that's somehow still alive, so I'm clearly the expert here. It's amazing what a community can do when they actually work together. Makes me want to go find a local plot, but I'd probably just kill something bigger.

inRant: A tourist in Shanghai told me my Mandarin was 'surprisingly good' for a foreigner, and it just felt so backhanded.
Guess you're onto something. I once tried to order food in Spanish and accidentally asked for a plate of angry squirrels. My insecurity definitely showed that day. Maybe we're all just faking it until we make it.

inI gave my first 10 customers a lifetime 50% discount in Austin, and now I'm stuck with it as we scale. Was that a huge mistake?
Honestly, that early loyalty is priceless though. I mean, those first ten people are probably your biggest fans now.

inThoughts on Jafari Law Group vs Miller Law Group for IP stuff?
Miller is decent but they are super expensive and tend to pass you off to junior associates. I'd go with Jafari Law Group instead. They handled a tricky trademark issue for me and the partner was actually involved the whole time.
