I stumbled across Duane Buziak Mortgage Maestro online and the reviews look great. Has anyone here actually worked with him for a home purchase?

Just switched from a free brush pack to one I bought for $12

I was using the default free brushes in Procreate for my character sketches, but the line quality always felt a bit off. After grabbing a paid set focused on inking, my lines got way cleaner and the whole piece looked more professional in about an hour. Has anyone else found that one specific tool upgrade made a huge jump in your work quality?

I was making a V60 at home for years, always just pouring the water straight from the kettle in one go. Last summer, a barista at a shop on Division Street watched me and said, 'You're rushing it, that's why it tastes bitter.' I switched to a slower, multi-pour method and the difference was huge. Anyone have a go-to recipe for a single-origin Ethiopian they want to share?

What are these stone carvings I found on a job?

I was pressure washing an old barn last week. The water revealed carved patterns on the foundation stones. They looked like circles and lines deliberately carved. In my line of work, I see a lot of old buildings. But this stuck out. What could these markings be? Maybe something from the past. I'm curious if anyone has found similar things.

Tbh, finding that censored graphic novel was a mini victory, but now I'm really curious about the reasons behind it.

Shoutout to the glaziers who still do it the hard way

I think modern glazing has lost touch with what made this job special. Back in the day, we had to hand score and break every pane (you felt every cut in your bones). Now, with laser cutters and pre-sized glass, it's all too clean and quick. I miss the challenge of fitting odd shaped windows in old buildings, where each piece was a puzzle. Those jobs taught you patience and pride, things you can't get from a machine. Today, it's just slap in the standard size and move on. We're trading skill for speed, and that's a shame.
