Appreciation post: Those basic meditation pamphlets from community centers.

Those plain guides got it right by keeping things simple. They cut out all the noise and just gave you the core steps. Modern apps could learn from that no-nonsense style.

Noticed a lot of florists are putting up living walls lately. I set up a small one in my home studio and it's made the place feel so much better. Has anyone given this a try?

A buddy of mine built this huge, beautiful living wall for his dining room. It was his pandemic project, took him weeks. The whole frame gave out one Tuesday night, dumped about forty pounds of wet soil and spider plants onto his dinner table. He says the scattered mess looked weirdly artistic, but he hasn't tried to rebuild it.

Curved stairwell carpet went down smooth. No wrinkles. Pretty happy.

Curved stair carpets can be tricky like that. They often look smooth at first but might shift a bit as they settle. Just something to watch out for over time.

Spent all weekend on a vertical herb garden and it's already falling apart.

Check for root growth loosening brackets.

A manufacturer's rep hinted I'd get more samples if I downplayed a flaw.

Last week I saw a review for a blender that skipped over it leaks everywhere. Sure, hide the flaw, that works great until someone's kitchen is covered in smoothie. Then you get a dozen angry comments asking why you didn't warn them. At that point your review is just a funny story people tell about bad advice. Trust isn't something you get back after pulling a stunt like that.
