Just finished my 100th repair job and the number shocked me

That's a crazy number. Honestly, what's the most common type of damage you see? Like are most of them just broken spines from being read a lot, or do you get a lot of water damage or pet-chewed books? I'd guess family stuff like that cookbook is the worst to fix up.

My cousin in Berlin said 'a locked diary is just paper, but a locked phone is your whole life' and I can't stop thinking about it

Ever feel like your phone is a vault you're scared to open? I had that same heavy feeling. What finally helped was going through my photos and messages, deleting old stuff that didn't matter anymore. It made the whole thing feel less like a loaded weapon. Now I try to back up the important bits and let the rest go. It's just a tool, not my actual life.

PSA: My stain mix-up left a cabinet looking purple under kitchen lights

Bet the homeowner never realized they wanted moody purple cabinets until your mistake showed them lol. Sometimes our screw-ups accidentally do the client's interior design thinking for them.

Warning: I stopped just reading banned books and started looking up why they were pulled.

Guess we should ban math next, @robinc25, since some folks are clearly afraid of facts.

Banned from our work app over a chat about flexible hours

My friend Mark (a dad with two little ones) got in trouble for something similar. He emailed his team about how new clock-in rules hurt caregivers, you know, people with kids or elderly parents. Management called it 'creating dissent' and locked him out of the project folder for a week. He missed deadlines because he couldn't reach his files, which was a huge mess. It felt like they just wanted to silence any pushback.
