Got banned from a local pet group for telling someone their dog's haircut was wrong

I mean, I'm a groomer, and this person posted a picture of their poodle with a shaved face. They said they did it to keep it cool, but that's a big no for that breed's coat health. I just commented, 'Hey, maybe don't do that again, it can mess up the hair growth.' Next thing I know, I'm out of the group. The admin told me I was 'shaming' the owner. Has anyone else been banned for trying to give honest, helpful advice?

I used to hate when our club picked old books but 'The Grapes of Wrath' changed my mind

Our club in Phoenix chose it last month and I was sure it would be boring. But the whole fight about whether the ending was hopeful or just sad got everyone talking for like two hours. I learned that a book doesn't have to be new to make people feel something big. Has your club ever had a huge argument over a classic you thought would be quiet?

Heads up about that online 'master class' for advanced chemical peels

I just dropped $450 on a digital course that promised to teach the latest techniques for medium-depth peels, you know, the kind you need extra training for. The sales page made it sound like you'd get hours of real client footage and step-by-step mixing guides. What I actually got was basically a rehash of the basic safety info from esthetics school, plus a slideshow of stock photos. The 'expert' instructor never even showed their face or gave their real name, which feels shady now. I spent a whole evening going through it hoping to find something new, but it was a total bust. Honestly, I could have learned more from a free webinar or just asking my old teacher. Has anyone found a legit, hands-on training for this stuff that's actually worth the cash?
