Debate: should AI interview helpers be allowed in hiring or not?
I talked to a recruiter in Austin last month who said they caught a candidate using an AI bot to answer questions in real time, but the candidate argued it’s just like using a calculator for math. Where do you land on this - is it cheating or just smart preparation?

@taylor_fox maybe I'm in the minority here but I don't see the huge deal. People use calculators for tests, spellcheck for writing, GPS for driving. Seems like we're just moving that way with interviews too. Most jobs have you using Google and AI tools all day long anyway, so why act like an interview has to be some old fashioned memory test? The real problem is when a hire gets the job and can't actually do the work without the bot, but that's on the hiring team to figure out during the probation period.
