Spent $200 on an AI email optimizer and it ruined my morning coffee

I paid for this tool that claims to rewrite your emails to be more polite and professional. It turned my simple request for a deadline extension into a three paragraph apology letter that made me look desperate. My boss actually asked if I was okay because it sounded so weird. Has anyone else had an AI tool totally miss the tone you were going for?

Wait $200?! Thats insane for an email tool that cant even read a simple room. Three paragraphs for a deadline request sounds like total overkill. My boss would probably think I was having a breakdown too if I sent something like that. These AI things always seem to swing way too hard in one direction.

Honestly I used to think $200 wasnt that bad for something that could save time. But you're right, three paragraphs for a simple deadline request is just ridiculous. It made me realize these tools dont actually understand basic workplace conversations. My boss would probably think I was panicking too if I sent something that wordy.
