Hot take: People who refuse to ask for help are just wasting everyone's time

I watched a new groomer at the shop next door struggle with a matted golden retriever for 45 minutes before she finally asked me for a quick tip. Why do we act like asking a question makes us look weak when it just saves everyone the headache? Has anyone else noticed this stubbornness ruining more projects than actual skill issues?

The whole "learn by struggling" thing has a limit though. See it all the time at the grocery store with people wandering aisles for ten minutes instead of just asking a stocker where the rice vinegar is. That stubbornness leaks into everything from traffic jams to home repairs until somebody's time gets wasted for no good reason. Eventually you gotta admit that swallowing your pride for thirty seconds saves everyone frustration.

Push back a little, but sometimes working through it alone is how you really learn the lesson for next time.
