I finally visited the Portland Saturday Market and noticed something weird

Every single food vendor there uses the exact same type of disposable serving tray, and nobody could tell me why when I asked three different people last weekend.

Wait, did your friend also run into that weird tray mystery? I had a buddy who went down there last spring and he got so curious he actually tried to buy a stack of those trays off a vendor. The guy just laughed and said they're some special kind of compostable thing that only one company supplies to the whole market, like a weird monopoly. My friend thought the vendor was messing with him until he checked the back of the trays and they all had the same faded logo. He still talks about it like it's some big conspiracy that nobody cares about but him.
