My garage door spring snapped at 6am on trash day

The cable whipped loose and took out two fence slats and my neighbor's recycling bin lid, right when I had bags in hand. I ended up paying a guy $220 to fix it same-day because the car was stuck inside. Anyone else had a home failure happen at the absolute worst possible minute?
