My phone battery died mapping a trail and it took 3 hours to find my way back
I went hiking in Red Rock Canyon last Saturday and my phone battery went from 40% to zero in under 20 minutes because the GPS was running. I had no physical map and no idea where the trail markers went, so I ended up walking in circles for three hours before I found the parking lot. Has anyone else had a phone fail on them in the middle of nowhere and how did you handle it?

Man I read somewhere that cold temps kill phone batteries fast.

Guess phones need winter coats now too, huh? Pretty soon we'll be tucking them in with a blanket at night. Cold temps drain batteries faster than my paychecks drain my bank account.
