Pro tip: I compared asking a general forum versus a specific 'ask anything' community for a complex data parsing issue.

The general forum gave vague advice, but the dedicated 'ask anything' space had someone who wrote a custom Python script for me in 20 minutes. Has anyone else found that niche communities solve problems way faster?

Honestly, that's because those niche folks actually live and breathe the specific problem you're having.

Sometimes they just get stuck in their own bubble.

Yeah, I asked a general tech forum once and they told me to turn it off and on again... my ego still hasn't recovered.
