PSA: That $50 'miracle' drain cleaner did absolutely nothing for my clogged sink
I dropped 50 bucks on a fancy enzyme drain cleaner that promised to eat through anything. After three days of following the instructions exactly, my kitchen sink was still a swampy mess. I ended up calling a plumber who fixed it in 10 minutes with a cheap snake tool. Anyone else fall for one of those overpriced bottle promises?

Always thought those pricey enzyme cleaners were just super advanced technology that worked better than the cheap stuff. After watching a plumber clear my drain with a basic tool in minutes, I realized a lot of it is just marketing hype. Now I just stick with a good old snake and save my money for the real problems.

Completely agree, I fell for that same marketing trap big time. Bought a fancy enzyme drain cleaner that cost like 30 bucks and it barely did anything, then just used a cheap plastic snake I got at the hardware store and cleared it in 2 minutes flat. Feels like half this stuff is just designed to make you feel smart for spending more money when a basic tool does the job way better.
