I counted my son's meltdowns for 30 days and got 47, way more than I thought
Everyone kept telling me it was just normal toddler stuff but writing it down showed 47 in one month, most of them after preschool pickup around 4pm. That one number got his pediatrician to actually listen and start the referral instead of brushing me off again. What finally got your kid taken seriously, a log like this or something else?
Watched my buddy do basically the same thing with his daughter. He kept a note on his phone for like 6 weeks, just tally marks for every meltdown and what set it off, and it turned out almost all of them happened in the 30 min after daycare pickup too. His wife thought he was being dramatic until he showed her the list and then she started noticing it too. The thing that really did it though was he filmed two of them, just short clips, and brought those plus the tally to the appointment. The doctor went from "she's just strong willed" to a referral in one visit. 47 in a month is a lot, you were right to count.
