Wasted $150 on a 'sensory friendly' weighted blanket that felt like a burlap sack

I bought this blanket from an online ad that promised it was soft and autism-friendly, but it was scratchy and way too hot after just 10 minutes. So much for relaxing - I could barely breathe under the thing. Has anyone else fallen for a sensory product that was totally overhyped or just plain bad?

Did you try washing it a few times first to soften it up?

Makes sense but you gotta wash it with hot water and vinegar first. Softens it up way better.
