Why does nobody talk about how loud a school cafeteria is until your kid stops eating lunch there
My son is 9 and has autism, and for two months he came home with a full lunchbox every single day. He would not say why, just said he was not hungry at school. In April his aide started eating with him in the hallway instead, and within about two weeks the lunchbox started coming home empty. I went and stood in that cafeteria at pickup and it was a wall of noise, trays banging, 200 kids talking at once. Turns out he was covering his ears instead of eating the whole time. Anyone else find out their kid was skipping meals for a reason nobody thought to mention?
