Hit 5000 flight hours on my bench scope last week
I was wiring up a new Garmin G3X install in a Cessna 182 and noticed my old Fluke scope meter clicked over to 5000 hours. Kinda hit me that I've spent that much time just staring at waveforms and chasing bad grounds in the shop. That's a solid 2 years of 8 hour days hunched over a bench. Most of those hours were on King radios and old Collins stuff from the 70s. Has anyone else kept track of their bench time like that or am I just weird?

Man that's a solid run of hours though, gotta respect the dedication to those old King radios. At least your scope earned every one of those hours unlike mine that just sat there humming overnight half the time lmao.

Did you ever accidentally leave it running over a weekend or something and mess up your count? I got a similar story, hit 3000 hours on my old HP meter and realized half of that was just me forgetting to shut it off after a long Friday. Makes you wonder how much of those bench hours were actual work versus just sitting there humming.
