The way younger techs treat wire bundles drives me up a wall

I was at a shop in Phoenix last month watching a kid about 25 zip tie a harness so tight it had pressure marks on the insulation. I told him to ease up and he looked at me like I had two heads. When I started in the 90s, my lead would have made me redo the whole thing if I pulled a bundle that tight. Vibration over time can cause chafing inside the jacket. It might not fail for 5 years but it will fail. Has anyone else noticed newer guys cranking down on cable ties like they're trying to win a contest?

5 years is a pretty long time for a cable tie to matter.

No joke, a zip tie saved my whole setup once when a mount broke.
