Got chased by a wild boar on the Ozark Trail last month

I was hiking the Blair Ridge section near the Middle Fork of the Black River around 4 PM. Came around a bend and surprised a mother boar with her babies. She snorted once and then charged straight at me. I dropped my trekking pole and scrambled up this low-hanging oak tree branch like I was 12 again. Sat up there for 20 minutes while she circled below grunting and snorting. Eventually she wandered off with her piglets. When I climbed down my legs were shaking so bad I had to sit for another 10 minutes before I could walk. My friend still laughs about the video I tried to take where it's just shaky footage of leaves and me breathing heavy. Has anyone else had a close call with wildlife that made you question your life choices?

Seems like you made it out fine, so maybe the boar was just giving you a good story.
