Seeing the John Muir Trail packed like a mall walk

Did it back in the late 90s. Felt like real wilderness. Maybe saw two people a day. Now, it's a parade. Campsites are full by noon. Trash left at stops. The quiet is gone. Makes me mad.

My last hike felt like waiting for a theme park ride.

Feels more like a grocery store parking lot than a trail now. The whole point of getting out there is gone when you're just standing in line.
