Trail reroute near Glacier changed my whole trip plan

Last August I hiked the Highline Trail out of Many Glacier and the new switchback section added 2 miles compared to the old route marked on my 2019 map. The reroute was due to a landslide that took out the old cliff section, and it pushed my campsite arrival from 4 PM to after dark. Has anyone else dealt with outdated maps on popular routes that got rerouted without much notice?

Two extra miles and you still got there before midnight, so I'd call that a win. The map on my phone said the old trail existed for three years after they closed it, so I just plan for the reroute to be longer every time now.
