TIL Germany blocked a YouTube video I made about accounting errors
Last month I posted a simple walkthrough showing how a missing decimal in a tax form can cost a business thousands. Nothing political, just numbers and screenshots. YouTube told me it was blocked in Germany because of some local law about financial advice without a license. It hit different because I was just trying to help a buddy avoid a $2k mistake, not give official advice. Has anyone else had a harmless tutorial flagged in another country for weird reasons?

Germany's right to block unlicensed financial advice protects their citizens, simple as that.

Heard a story from one of the line cooks at my spot, his cousin had a workout video blocked in like three countries because it had some background music that was apparently illegal there or something. Crazy how these laws catch random stuff. Makes me wonder if the German rule is meant to stop scammers but ends up nailing regular folks trying to help each other out.
