Tried offset vs vertical smoker on a brisket. Offset won big.

Cooked two identical briskets side by side last Sunday. Offset gave a deeper bark and way better smoke ring. The vertical one tasted fine but just not the same. Anyone else find offsets worth the extra babysitting?

Respectfully disagree. Vertical smokers give me way more even temps without all the fire management drama.

Respect the take" and all, but I actually just read an article that said vertical smokers use way less fuel in the long run cause the heat doesn't escape as much. Made me rethink my whole setup honestly.
