My city's Facebook group banned me for posting a photo of a pothole on Main Street
Last Tuesday I drove down Main Street and nearly lost a tire in a pothole that's been there since January. I snapped a picture and posted it in the 'Springfield Citizens United' Facebook group asking when they'd fix it, and within 2 hours I got a 30 day ban for 'negativity against city workers.' There were 14 comments agreeing with me before I got silenced. Has anyone else gotten slapped for just showing what's obvious on the ground?

Man, that's such a bummer. Getting banned for pointing out a legit safety hazard is just wrong, especially when you were being polite about it. Fourteen people agreed with you, so clearly that pothole is a real issue and not just you being picky. It feels like some mods just can't handle any criticism, even when it's backed up by a photo and common sense. Hope that pothole gets fixed before someone's car gets wrecked.

Try submitting the photo to the city's 311 app instead, that bypasses the Facebook drama entirely.
