I finally stopped skipping the intro of The Leftovers after episode 6
I always fast-forwarded through the opening credits because I thought they were boring, but then I caught the lyrics on a rewatch and realized the whole theme was setting up the show's core mystery. Did anyone else miss something obvious because you were impatient about getting to the story?

Honestly, "I finally stopped skipping the intro" sounds like you just discovered that the opening credits weren't just a placeholder for the furniture store. Tbh, it took me three seasons to realize the theme song wasn't just a sad violin solo but actually explains why everyone's wearing white. Ngl, I was too busy checking my phone to notice I was missing the whole point of the show.

Is it just me or does skipping the intro kind of mirror how we rush through the little details in our daily routines? Like, we're so focused on getting to the main event that we miss the setup that actually makes everything make sense. Maybe that's why I keep forgetting why I walked into a room, similar to how you missed the point of the show for three seasons.
