Got put on a garage footing job in Boise last week and it changed how I lay out corners
Got sent to a garage footing job in Boise last Monday and the guy running it was a 30 year vet. He showed me how he uses a string line and a 3-4-5 triangle to check every corner before he ever sets a brick. I had been eyeballing my corners for a while and honestly thought that was fine, but when he checked mine I was off by about a half inch on one side. We fixed it in 10 minutes and the rest of the week went smooth as hell. Any of you old timers actually check every corner with the 3-4-5 or do you just trust your eye after a while?
