Told my foreman my mortar mix was too dry and he told me to shut up and lay brick

Three years ago I was working a job site in Akron, Ohio right after a dry spell. I pointed out the mix was crumbling instead of sticking, you know, basic stuff we all learn. Foreman got in my face, said I had no business questioning his 20 years of experience. Next morning the wall had a 3 foot section that just fell apart, and he tried to blame it on me. Has anyone else had a supervisor who wouldn't listen to basic moisture ratios?

Man that sucks. Some guys just can't handle being told they're wrong.

Wait you're joking right? Someone actually freaked out over being called out? I've seen people get defensive before but this is next level stuff. Can't believe some people's egos are that fragile they can't handle a simple correction. Like bro it's not that deep just take the L and move on. Wild how common this is though, everyone's so quick to snap when their pride gets touched.
