Just realized my grocery store in Springfield started putting clearance meat on a special rack by the dairy aisle, and it's cut my weekly bill by $15.
I think it's a smart way to reduce waste and help people save, but my friend says it's just a trick to get you to buy things you didn't plan for, so what's your take on store clearance sections?

Why does everything have to be some sneaky trick? Your friend is overthinking it. It's just meat that needs to be sold today. I grab that stuff all the time and freeze it. Saves me money and yeah, it stops good food from getting tossed. Stores win because they make some money instead of none. It's a simple win-win, not a mind game.

Wait, they only just started doing that? Our store has had a clearance meat spot for years, right next to the weird yogurt flavors. You mean some places still just throw it out?
