Noticed a leak in my spending when I wrote things down

I used to think small buys didn't matter, but writing every coffee and snack in a notebook proved me wrong. It was annoying at first, but after a week, the pattern was clear. I was blowing fifty bucks a week on stuff I barely remembered. Cutting that out added up fast, and now I have extra for things I actually care about.

That kind of tracking always reveals hidden habits. My cousin logged her weekly drives and found she was circling the block for parking more than she thought. It's wild how much we miss until we start keeping count.

My old neighbor tracked his time for a month and found he spent over an hour a week just waiting for his computer to start up and load programs. He was shocked because each wait felt like a few seconds. Makes you wonder what else we're just accepting as normal background noise in our day. That kind of data forces you to see the real cost of small delays.

How many minutes per drive was she wasting? I mean, did she adjust her routine after seeing the numbers?
