Why does nobody talk about how much money gets sunk into sticker collections for bullet journals

I fell into that trap about two years ago when I first started bullet journaling. I must have spent over $60 on various sticker packs from Etsy and Amazon, thinking they would make my logs look more polished and help me stay motivated. But after about 4 months, I realized I was spending more time placing stickers just right than actually writing down what I needed to do. The worst part is that most of those stickers are now sitting in a drawer, barely touched, and I regret not just using a simple pen and a ruler like the original method suggests. Has anyone else tossed a bunch of cash on decorative supplies that ended up collecting dust?

My buddy spent almost $100 on planner stickers and now uses them as bookmarks just to feel better about the waste.

Wait, $100 on planner stickers? Bro that hurts my soul just reading it. Honestly I thought my $60 was bad but at least some of those ended up decorating the inside of my laptop case. Did your friend at least get any use out of them as bookmarks or did they just become expensive paperweights?
