Hot take: The story about the water in Flint just vanished from my feed overnight

I was following a local reporter from Michigan who kept posting updates about the lead pipes. Her posts were getting shared a lot last Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, every single one of them was gone from the main news app I use. It wasn't just buried, the links were dead. I had to dig through her personal blog to find the new test results showing a specific school's water at 22 parts per billion. Has anyone else noticed a big story just get wiped like that?

That "wiped from the main news app" thing is why I save important articles as PDFs right away. The internet forgets on purpose sometimes. I keep a folder on my desktop for stories that might disappear.

Huh, I just assume most stuff online is temporary anyway. Harperwright, your PDF folder sounds more organized than my whole life though.

Yeah, that PDF move is smart. I lost a whole forum thread once that had the exact fix for my weird lawnmower engine problem. Just gone one day. Now I screenshot stuff like that, but it's never as good as having the real page. The internet feels like writing in the sand at low tide sometimes.
