I used to update my job board on Friday nights, now it's a whiteboard on the shop wall
I got tired of finding out Monday morning that a client pushed a trim install and I never saw the email. Now every job and change goes on the board before anyone leaves the shop, and we haven't missed a delivery date in 4 months. Anyone else ditch the software and go back to pen and paper for scheduling?
My buddy runs a 6 person landscaping crew and he did the same thing last spring with a big dry erase board by the coffee pot. What got me was how much easier it is to trust something you can see with your own eyes instead of hoping a cloud app synced right. There's a pattern here, like how people went back to paper books and vinyl records once the digital version got too complicated or fragile. Sometimes the old way wins because it just works and nobody has to think about it.
