Switched from canned air to a hand blower for cleaning shutters
Used to go through a can of compressed air every week on sticky shutter blades. Cost me about $15 a can and I was buying 4 a month. Around 3 years ago I picked up a Giottos rocket blower for $12 and haven't bought canned air since. Takes a few extra pumps to clear dust but it works just as good and saves me $50 a month easy. Anyone else ditch the canned stuff for a simple blower?

Wait, you mean I've been treating myself like some kind of high-rolling shutter blade king for years? I was buying a new can of compressed air every week just to keep my blinds from looking like a dust bunny convention. Now I'm genuinely embarrassed I never thought of this myself. Guess I'll be good with my new $12 blower and just pretend I was paying for the "premium dust removal experience" all along.

Right? The "premium dust removal experience" is a great way to frame it though. I mean, you were basically paying for the thrill of watching that little plastic straw freeze up and fog out after three squirts. My blower just keeps going and going, and I can use it on my keyboard, the vents in my car, even my computer tower. The only downside is now I have to find a new excuse to avoid dusting the blinds, but hey, at least I'm doing it for a lot less money.
