Question about the Coleman 2-burner stove fuel line

Spent a solid 45 minutes at a campsite near Bend trying to figure out why my stove wouldn't light. Turns out the tiny O-ring in the fuel line connector had shrunk from the cold. I had to warm it up with my hands for like ten minutes before it would seal properly. Anyone else have a weird fix for a propane stove that just wouldn't cooperate?

You warmed the O-ring with your hands for ten minutes? That's some next level patience. I would have given up after two minutes and just eaten cold beans. That's the kind of campsite story that turns into a legend.

Heard a dab of cooking oil can help in a pinch.

Absolutely, warming that little ring is a classic move. Mine did the same thing last fall, but I ended up holding the whole fuel line connector against my coffee mug for a few minutes. Worked like a charm once the rubber got a little less stiff.
