Just read that a single chimney fire can reach 2000 degrees Fahrenheit
I was looking at an old safety guide from the Chimney Safety Institute of America and that number really hit me. It explains why we see so much damage to flue tiles even from small, quick fires. Has anyone else come across stats that made you change how you talk to homeowners about cleaning?

Ever see those pictures of a warped metal damper after a fire? That visual really drives it home for me. I read a fire report once where the heat cracked the outer brick on a chimney, not just the liner. It made me start showing photos during my talks, not just giving the numbers. People remember the melted stuff way more than the stats.
